Default settings for live events can be configured in Settings → Live & Webinar.

• Record event - controls the default state of recording for new live events. This is enabled by default on new accounts.
• Time shift - controls the default state of time shift for new live events. Time shift allows viewers to pause playback and seek backwards up to 4 hours while the event is live.
• Low-latency - Lower delay between what Quickchannel receives from an encoder until the video is displayed on a viewer’s player. Low latency is aimed at being below five seconds.
• Chat - controls the default state of Chat for new live events which allows viewers to connect to a text chat associated with the live event
• Approve messages - controls the default state of chat moderation. If turned on, new messages will be hidden by defaults, and can be approved by a chat administrator to be shown in the chat.
  
• Live captions (Manual) - controls if manual captions are on or off by default in the Live Wizard. The default language is set in Settings -> Subtitles.
• Live captions (AI) - controls if AI transcriptions are on or off by default in the Live Wizard. The default language is set in Settings -> Subtitles.

Record event, Time shift and Chat settings can be changed when a new event is created on the Live Wizard window as described in How to setup a live event article.

Approve messages setting can be changed on the Live overview page once the live event is created as described in Chat article.

Registration defaults
By setting registration required, new live events and webinars will require a viewer to register to get access to the event. Turn on the fields that you want to be visible on registration pages. 
Input fields have three states, Off/On/On(Mandatory)
To create a custom input for your registration page, press Add new input.
On individual live events, you can always deviate from the predefined account default.
