Account Settings

On the Live Mixer page of Settings you can configure your Account Default settings for new Studio Projects and the Background image used for Live Mixer events.

Upload a presentation

The Live Mixer uses image collections to manage presentations. There are multiple ways to create these collections.

The most straight forward way is to upload a PDF file, each page will automatically be converted to an image and then all pages of the PDF file saved in the same collection.

Note that if all the fonts used in the presentation are not embedded in the PDF, text may not be displayed as expected after the conversion.

Alternatively you can upload images or if you already have images on your account you can create collections on the media overview page of the images.

Create a live event

In order to add a live event as source to your Project, it needs to be created prior to adding it to your studio project. More information on how to create a live event can be found in the knowledge base article "How to: Setup a Live Event".

Create a studio Project

Go to the Studio part of the Console and press "New Live Mixer Project", give your new Project a title and a description.

Add media to your project

Make sure any videos, images or presentations you want to include in your project are uploaded to your account and if you are planning to include any live source, make sure to have a live event created according to the instructions under "Create a live event".

When you have all the media you want to include in the project ready, go to the "Media" page under "Studio" and scroll down to the "Account Media" section as shown in the image below.

Select media type in the drop down next to the search field, then search and browse for media under "Account Media" and select it to your "Project Media" either by drag and drop or by clicking on it.

Then either select media from the "Project Media" section or simply drag and drop it in order to add it to your mixing sources. You can drag and drop the media in the "Mixing Sources" to rearrange their position.

Add Overlays

After your mixing sources are setup go to the "Overlays" page. On the "Overlays" page you can add overlays and select the Overlay Template, adding overlays can also be done later while the Live Mixer event is created but make sure you select the Overlay Template you wish to use now.

Set Layout

Last step of configuring your Studio project is to select the layout of your project, how you will be able to arrange your media in the project.

Sources

To add a media from your Sources to the stream either press one of the icons to the right of the thumbnail or simply drag and drop the media to desired position in the Producer view.

The speaker icon in the corner of media sources indicates which source is being used for audio, press the speaker icon to toggle audio for that source, audio can only be active for one source at the same time.

To remove a media source from the stream, press the cross in the top right corner of mixing Source or the cross in the corner of the source in Producer View.

When a media source is removed from the stream or its duration ends, if another media source is active it will switch to the largest slot and take up the full stream.
